Alice McCall: Cat of the Duchess

Australian designer Alice McCall's 1st SS11 collection, Cat of the Duchess, has managed to be sweet, sexy and casual-chic all at once. Although the Sydney-based Miss McCall has been showing in London since 2006, her clothes still retains that inimitable Aussie vibe that is effortlessly cool. Considering that this is only one-half of a full collection, she has managed to produce more than 70 fabulous looks, an impressive feat to say the least. Working with pretty prints, orange as a pop accent and a loose, see-through crochet-knit, these are the kind of clothes that will make you look dressed up in the summer heat without having losing your cool. Quite perfect for our little red dot, don't you think?

Personally, I really love the pieces' quirky, fun names - like the It was a Pleasure Then Jumpsuit and the Head Held High Short. Coming up with names like that can be a full-time job!

Alice McCall is available at Lula Rocks, #02-02 Pacific Plaza.
